Have you paid for travel services such as flights, accommodation, rental cars, or tuition fees for your trip to Europe and wish to insure yourself against a Schengen visa refusal? Our travel cancellation insurance provides coverage for cancellation costs, including those resulting from a visa rejection for entry into the Schengen area. Booked and prepaid travel services are insurable up to a limit of €20,000 per person. This cancellation insurance comes with zero deductible, offering a reimbursement of up to 100% of the cancellation fees owed in the event you must cancel your trip to the Schengen area.

The travel cancellation insurance must be taken out at least 30 days prior to departure. When filing a claim for a trip cancellation to Europe due to a visa refusal, both the written visa application and the written visa rejection notice must be submitted. Not covered are organizational deficiencies of the embassy or visa service, such as the delayed delivery of the visa or a visa rejection due to incorrect or incomplete visa applications.

| Existing conditions are insured, if they become acute unexpectedly. Illnesses related to heart conditions, strokes, cancer, diabetes (Typ 1), epilepsy, multiple sklerosis are not insured to the extent, that these were treated with in-patient treatment in the 12 months preceeding conclusion of the insurance. Check-ups are excluded. |

Purchase deadline: Up to 30 days before departure. If the trip is booked within 30 days of departure, the insurance must be purchased within 3 days. The day of the booking counts as the first of these 3 days.
