Which Schengen travel insurance options are available for stays in Europe?

Would you like to find out about the insurance coverage available for a trip to Europe? Our Schengen travel insurance policies are suitable for all types of stays within the Schengen area for individuals up to the age of 75 traveling to Europe from abroad. Coverage can be provided for private visits or cultural trips, study periods or other educational stays, as well as business travel to the Schengen area. The maximum duration of insurance is 5 years.

All Schengen health insurance plans provide you with comprehensive coverage throughout your stay in Europe. The benefits include, but are not limited to:

• Scope of coverage: Insurance protection applies within the Schengen Area.
• Acute necessary outpatient medical treatments with free choice of doctor.
• Acute necessary inpatient medical treatments in a shared room (multi-bed room) with free choice of hospital.
• Pain-relieving dental treatments, including standard dental fillings and repairs of existing dentures.
• Necessary medication, dressings, and medical aids.
• Examination and treatment of pregnancy complications, premature birth, and miscarriage.
• Prenatal care and childbirth for pregnancies occurring during the insurance period (6-month waiting period, available only in the "Profi" plan).
• Medical repatriation to your home country.
• Repatriation of remains to your home country in the event of death.

The following Schengen travel insurance options are available to you:

• Schengen health insurance for a maximum of 1 year with unlimited coverage (available for purchase before and after entry into Europe)
• Schengen health insurance for a maximum of 1 year with coverage limited to € 50,000 (available for purchase prior to entry into Europe)
• Schengen health insurance for a maximum of 5 years with unlimited coverage (available for purchase before and after entry into Europe)
• Trip cancellation insurance with no deductible, including coverage in the event of visa denial (available for purchase up to 30 days before the start of the trip)

When booking one of the Schengen health insurance policies, optional supplementary insurance will be offered, which you can add upon request: travel accident insurance, travel liability insurance, and baggage insurance.
