Can Schengen health insurance be cancelled and refunded if the visa is refused?

Did you purchase Schengen health insurance for your trip to Europe to apply for a Schengen visa, and now you no longer need it because your visa application was refused? In this case, we will cancel your booked Schengen insurance and refund the premium already paid.

Please note the following:

• If you notify us of your request to cancel the Schengen insurance prior to the scheduled start of coverage, you will receive a full refund of the premium paid.
• If you notify us after the scheduled start of coverage, we will terminate the insurance contract as of the date of notification and refund the remaining premium paid for the subsequent period.

To cancel or terminate your insurance policy, please provide the following information:

• Your policy number
• The written rejection of the visa application received by you or the invited person from the consulate or embassy.

Upon receipt of your notification, we will confirm the cancellation or termination of your policy. The premium refund will be issued to the payment method you used when booking the Schengen travel insurance.
